The free online education courses emphasize a culture of development, safety and fun within the sport focused for players, parents, coaches, and umpires. Pure Baseball is USA Baseball's zero-tolerance campaign for any type of abuse within the sport of baseball. Through Senate Bill 534 and the governance of the US Center for SafeSport, there are many policies in place to ensure minor athlete well-being is at the center of each sport. There are four components of Pure Baseball: Reporting, background checks, education and training and minor athlete safety policies.

USA Baseball and MLB have teamed up to help young players reduce arm injuries by providing a comprehensive resource for safe pitching practices. Baseball is a safe game to play at all ages, but research has shown that pitching too much — particularly at a young age — can increase a pitcher's risk of injury. Pitch Smart is a series of practical, age-appropriate guidelines to help parents, players and coaches avoid overuse injuries and foster long, healthy careers for youth pitchers.
